Tomorrow is the question

Joseph Grahame

Galleria Albanese Arte in collaboration with Galleria Alessandro Albanese is pleased to announce the opening of the solo exhibition of Joseph Grahame, entitled "Tomorrow is the question". The exhibition sees the debut in Italy of the artist born in London (UK) in 1995.

The title created by the London-based artist refers to a musical record by Free Jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman, in which references to painting, random gestures and improvisation create strong connotations with Grahame's artistic practice. His works made by recycling the excess of fabrics and canvases are the result of both a constructive and de-constructive strategy, the collage of fabrics and textiles explores the frontiers of contemporary painting using methodologies to then develop formal compositions. The union of unexpected connections of sometimes domestic materials in relation to painting generates layered formative outcomes that function as metaphors for evocative trends.
